Border Agents Arrests Illegal Entrant Who Served 15 Years for Sex Offense

Border Patrol Agents working out of the Naco Border Patrol Station apprehended Roberto Ramirez-Martinez, a 35-year-old Mexican national. Ramirez illegally entered the United States by jumping the International Boundary fence west of the Naco Port of Entry.



At the station, the subject was enrolled in the ENFORCE/IAFIS database where it was revealed that he had a prior criminal conviction for “Felony Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assaultâ€

Oh, he's just another illegal coming here to do a job most Americans wouldn't dream of doing.

Sex offender arrested while trying to re-enter U.S.

A convicted sex offender was taken into custody by Border Patrol officers after entering the country illegally.

Agents working in the Tucson sector arrested 35-year-old Roberto Ramirez-Martinez.

According to a news release from U.S. Customs and Border Protections, Martinez entered the United States illegally by jumping a boundary fence west of the Naco port of entry.

Officers discovered Martinez had a criminal past after entering his information into the ENFORCE/IAFIS database. Records revealed he had been convicted in 1997 of felony aggravated criminal sexual assault in Illinois, for which he served 15 years in prison.

Ramirez is being held pending further prosecution.
