On Friday, Gov. Jan Brewer (R-AZ) told reporters that most illegal aliens enter this country with illegal drugs strapped to their backs. The statement has brought condemnation not only from illegal alien rights groups, but from a U.S. Border Patrol official as well, who says Brewer is flat out wrong.

Brewer said: “We all know that the majority of the people that are coming to Arizona and trespassing are now becoming drug mules. They're coming across our borders in huge numbers. The drug cartels have taken control of the immigration.â€

the numbers of kidnappings mentioned in this story is scary, but i think we all knew that the kidnappings were because of the mexican drug cartels.

the number of drop houses and the number of illegals arrested simply do share the fact that the border is not secure and people are still running over to get here..

the mention of the drug cartels in american cities is also scary, and that along should make people in these towns or states wake up and understand these thugs will kill you even if you look at them the wrong way

[quote]However, in March 2008, U.S. Border Patrol spokesman Special Agent Joe Romero told the San Francisco Chronicle that the cartels had moved into the human smuggling business, and were forcing illegal aliens to act as drug mules in exchange for passage into this country.

Romero said: “The drug cartels have determined this is big business. Pointing to the desert between Juarez and El Paso, he claimed that the drug cartels “control these corridors. Just like we're watching them here, they're watching us. ... It used to be, 'Get across the fence and run.' Now it's a lot more organized.â€
