KEARNEY — A Shelton teen wanted for allegedly pulling a gun on another teen at a Kearney park has been arrested.

Victorio Gomez, 18, was arrested on the warrant Monday at L&N Trailer Court south of the Shelton Interstate 80 interchange after a Kearney woman reported Sunday Gomez violated a protection order by calling her daughter.

He is charged in Buffalo County Court with using a deadly weapon to commit a felony, felony terroristic threats and violating a protection order, a misdemeanor. Gomez is believed to have confronted a Kearney teen at Hammer Park in southeast Kearney in September and to have used a handgun to threaten the boy. The protection order charge stems from Gomez allegedly making contact with a different Kearney girl around the same time at the park.

Court records outline the case against Gomez:

About 7 p.m. Sept. 15, a 14-year-old Kearney boy received a text message from Gomez saying a 14-year-old female friend of the boy’s was going to die. The boy went to Hammer Park on Avenue M in southeast Kearney. Gomez confronted the boy and pointed a handgun at his face.

The girl was present during the incident.

Gomez threatened the boy saying he was messing with the wrong people and told the teen to leave the girl alone. The teen immediately left the area.

Gomez then confronted the girl for 5 to 10 minutes. Earlier in the evening, Gomez had sent the girl several harassing text messages.

The girl’s mother had obtained a protection order against Gomez in August. The order, issued by Buffalo County District Court Judge John Icenogle, is active for one year and forbids Gomez from having contact with the girl, including any form of electronic communication.

At press time Gomez was being held at the Buffalo County Detention Center on 10 percent of a $250,000 bond. He is also being held for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
