JUAREZ-- At least 28 people, including 10 people in two separate mass shootings at bars, were slain over the weekend in Juárez, Mexican authorities said.

On Sunday, Mexican police found the bodies of five men at about 1:33 a.m. inside the Alamos Bar located at Norzagaray Boulevard and Bario.

Three other men who were injured in the shooting were transported to a Juárez hospital. One of the men, Lorenzo Duran Muro, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other men have not been identified.

At about 3:26 a.m. Saturday, Juan Manuel Chavira Carbajal was found dead inside a GMC Sierra with Oklahoma license plates.

Carbajal, 34, was found fatally shot in the driver's seat of the pickup. A 19-year-old woman, who was in the truck, suffered gunshot wounds and was transported to a Juárez hospital.

Shortly before 7:10 p.m. Friday, three men were found dead inside a Chevrolet Lumina with Texas licenses plates at Juan Herrera and Villa Feliz streets. Mexican investigators found 70 shell casings at the scene.

It is unknown if the men found dead in the two vehicles are U.S. citizens.

In another bar shooting, four men were fatally shot at about 2:35 a.m. Friday inside the Deportes Gabino Bar located at Panamericana Avenue and Centeno Street in the El Granjero colonia.

    Mexican police said the

bullet-riddled bodies of the men were found on the floor of the bar. The men have not been identified but authorities found an identification card with the name Sergio Manuel Troitiño, 21, on one of the men.
No one has been arrested. Most of the execution- and ambush-style slayings have been linked to warring drug cartels.

Since the beginning of the year, more than 1,400 people have been slain in the ongoing violence in Juárez.

What do Mexican bar shootings have to do with illegal immigration or border security?

The drug war in Mexico makes many people in Mexico want to move to the U.S., legally or illegally.
If Mexico is unable to stop this war, in which 6,000 people have been killed in the last 2 years, it will spread across the border to the U.S.
We need to secure our border to keep the people who commit these crimes out of the U.S

Famine in Africa does the same thing.
