The county will not sever ties with the company managing two county-owned golf courses, although a review of personnel documents suggest the company may have unknowingly employed undocumented workers.

The county launched an investigation after about 15 employees deserted their golf course jobs earlier this month when the company announced Anne Arundel officials wanted to inspect immigration records.

County and company officials agreed yesterday that the errors uncovered in a county probe of Billy Casper Golf's personnel documents did not constitute a "material breach" of the contract, which prohibits county contractors from knowingly employing undocumented workers.

But the sides disagree about the extent of the errors.

Billy Casper Golf spokesman Rich Katz said the errors found among audited personnel records amounted to only clerical errors.
