MI: Muslim cop fired and under investigation for coercion

    DEARBORN
Fired cop accused of coercing witness

A former Dearborn police officer is accused of writing a false police report and trying to coerce a witness, according to an unsealed federal indictment.

Daniel Saab, a 12-year veteran, was fired in June after the city said he repeatedly violated department policies. In August, a grand jury indicted Saab on federal charges in a separate case.

If found guilty, the officer faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Detroit said. He faces one count of witness tampering and one count of tampering with evidence.

"The charges they brought are quite serious," said Dearborn Mayor John O'Reilly Jr. And they're indicative "of an individual who has misused his office and position."

According to the indictment, Saab made a false police report on Jan. 6. Then, Saab tried to pressure a witness to lie during a parole hearing on June 20 in federal court in Detroit.

The indictment, announced Friday, does not detail the nature of the case.

Saab's attorney, Nabih Ayad, said Monday that the case involves a man from metro Detroit who had been in prison on a drug-related crime. After he was released on parole, Saab tried to get the man back in prison by showing evidence that he had committed another crime.

Ayad said that the government case is "based on information from unreliable sources" and that Saab should be given "a fair and impartial hearing."

U.S. Attorney Stephen Murphy said in a news release that Saab "attempted to undermine the integrity of the federal judicial system."

The case has been assigned to U.S. District Judge Nancy Edmunds.

I first saw this on Schlussel's site which led to me to dig for the Free Press story which was buried by the way! Here are her reports:

EXCLUSIVE: Dearbornistan's Muslim Community Police Officer Fired; Under Investigation by Feds, Local Prosecutors

    By Debbie Schlussel

**** EXCLUSIVE: Must cite Debbie Schlussel and DebbieSchlussel.com. (How long 'til this is cribbed by Detroit Free Press' resident Islamist Niraj Warikoo & Detroit Newsistan resident Dhimmi Gregg Krupa? Taking Bets.) ****

I learned, yesterday, that Dearbornistan's most corrupt, pro-Hezbollah police officer, Daniel Saab, was fired and is under investigation by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Wayne County Prosecutor's office.

As I've previously written, after 9/11, Saab was held out by the national and international mainstream media to be a model of police outreach and interaction with the Muslim Community. And it appears he truly is a model of Muslim policing: Saab--a Shi-ite Muslim of Lebanese descent and an open Hezbollah supporter--was found guilty of criminally stalking a State Senator, George Hart. Saab's testimony about his whereabouts on certain dates in his case and other reports in the past indicate that Saab was also likely involved in the fire-bombing of Dearborn City Councilman Doug Thomas' car. Thomas has been an outspoken critic of Islamist extortion in the City, including in a post-9/11 appearance on CBS' "60 Minutes." This past summer, sources say Saab had a giant Hezbollah poster up at his community policing office in the Dearborn Public Library.

But, incredibly, none of these things--because they were all against non-Muslims-- were enough to get Saab fired from the Dearborn police force, even though he has a reputation as a thug and as one of the most corrupt members of the Dearborn police force, which has many fine, upstanding officers. And Saab was protected by late Dearborn Mayor Michael Guido, who allegedly received pay-offs from Deaborn's pro-Hezbollah Shi'ite Muslim community (and some Sunnis, as well).

But now Saab is under investigation for a series of newer alleged crimes and malfeasance. All of the new allegations--that resulted in Saab's firing--involve alleged crimes and wrongdoing by him against other Muslim Arabs. Saab's previous crimes and nefarious activities did not count because they were against Infidels. Various Dearborn residents said that the FBI refused to get involved after repeated complaints about Saab and the Mayor Guido Administration over the past several years.

But now, new Dearborn Mayor John O'Reilly--who apparently knew of this activity all along and did nothing--was put in a spot. Sources say he was aware of Mayor Guido's and Officer Daniel Saab's nefarious activities. The recent court filings of a concerned Dearborn citizen put O'Reilly, a licensed Michigan attorney and Officer of the Court, in a position where he could be implicated, and he chose to, therefore, fire Daniel Saab. But the new Mayor is far from innocent, Dearborn residents say, and his CYA act may not work. It is a case of too little, too late.

There is so much more to this story. But just the basics for now. Stay tuned. Much More on Monday.

When Hezbos Run a City: Dearborn's Muslim Community Policing Officer Indicted

    By Debbie Schlussel

Recently, I broke the news to you that Daniel Saab, Dearbornistan's nationally-hailed Muslim community policing officer, was fired for misconduct. I learned on Friday that he was indicted, as many loyal Dearborn Police officers (tired of their ethically-challenged Islamo-pandering chief and officers like Saab). Now it is official. The man held up to the world after 9/11 as the model Muslim police officer is no model of anything . . . except criminality and corruption.

Saab was fired for misconduct, but it was well past time. The man's behavior over the course of his career is criminal. Think Denzel Washington's character in "Training Day" or Richard Gere's in "Internal Affairs." Saab is the anti-Serpico. He is deceptively handsome and pure evil.

Hezbollah's Anti-Serpico: Dearbornistan Officer Daniel Saab

Daniel Saab, a Shi'ite and open Hezbollah supporter, displayed a Hezbollah poster at his community policing office at the Dearborn Public Library. In most police offices, that would be grounds for dismissal, as would Saab's conviction for stalking a Michigan state legislator, and his admission in testimony placing him at the time and location of a late-night fire-bombing of a non-Muslim Dearborn City Councilman's car.

But the Dearbornistan Police Department is not "most police departments." It's like the corrupt third-world police departments you see in the movies, where there are so many good cops who want to enforce the law and so many bad cops who run the asylum along with their Mayoral and Police Chief allies in the back pockets of terrorism supporters.

spent years shaking down, harassing, and attacking various Dearbornistan citizens at the hands of then Dearbornistan Mayor Michael "The Godfather" Guido, now deceased. Although Guido was not a Muslim, he was in the back pocket of the most extreme Muslims in town, including fugitive federal indictee and Hezbollah financier Talal Chahine, who reportedly gave him a $9,000 ring, thousands in cash, and ongoing tabs at Detroit's three casinos.

Saab was Guido's henchmen. And he didn't just terrorize infidels. He terrorized fellow Muslims. One, a jewelry store owner who was suing Dearborn over the controversial death of his epileptic brother in a Dearborn jail, had his business repeatedly vandalized, reportedly at the direction of the Mayor, who protected Saab at every turn of malfeasance. In turn, Saab did Guido's bidding and that of Guido's Hezbollah financier patrons.

Now, Saab is finally getting his due. But in many ways it is too little too late. The feds--specifically the FBI and the U.S. Attorney's Office--repeatedly ignored Dearborn citizens' complaints against Saab, and even tipped Mayor Guido and Saab off about their communications with complainants. Now Saab will defend against his federal indictment for witness and evidence tampering and producing a false police report, with the employ of Islamist attorney and Hezbollah supporter Nabih Ayad, with whom the FBI and U.S. Attorney Stephen Murphy III a/k/a "Abu Porno" are close.

Reportedly, Ayad's fees are being paid for by a pro-Hezbollah Dearborn businessman who owns a lot of property in the city. One of his properties, a home occupied by drug dealers, was reportedly visited by Mohammed Attah well before the 9/11 attacks.

There is so much more on Daniel Saab, to which I've alluded on this site previously, and I will get to it.

Stay tuned. And until then, remember, Dearbornistan is ground zero and a scary omen for America's future.

Dan Saab's story is what happens to a city when Islamists take over. Dearborn's new Mayor, Jack O'Reilly, is not much different from his predecessor and was in on many of his "deals." His hands were forced on Saab's situation.

And those hands are almost as dirty.

I know. I used to live in Dearborn. It takes alot of courage to speak your mind about terrorism. If you do, you are accused of 'Islamophobia' as if the many innocent victims meant nothing.
