S.L. County GOP to tackle immorality, immigration:

Demand the repeal of the state’s guest-worker program. Pledge support for the Utah Compact. Declare that sex should happen only between a husband and wife.

Salt Lake County Republicans could take a stand on those volatile issues Saturday as delegates gather at the South Towne Expo Center for the party’s annual convention.

Although picking a new party leader will be the main event — former Chairman Thomas Wright has resigned to become head of the state GOP — delegates will also dabble in policy.

Mostly, they will talk immigration. But expect some buzz about morality, too.

How do you respect the rule of law but don't enforce the law?

The GOP is a sham...Both parties are like a one-two punch to the face of the Middle Class Americans. One steals and redistributes wealth while the other cuts services, helps outsource with free trade pacts, and protects the rich...

If the GOP were serious about cutting spending where its NEEDED most they would scale back the SIZE of the Federal Government workforce while cutting THEIR benefits (or make them pay more into them) Government employee income should average on par with the private sector. As it is now the average Government worker makes about 30k a year more + the insane benefits.

Attacking Medicare and Social Security is just taking more from the middle class...

Respect the law, deport mommy and daddy and they take their jackpot babies with them.
