LA GRULLA — Two U.S. Border Patrol agents fired their weapons when they encountered a group of people in a vehicle Saturday night, agents said.

The incident occurred at an undisclosed location Saturday night near La Grulla, said Joe Treviño, a local Border Patrol spokesman.

"Two agents discharged their weapons when a vehicle swerved towards them," he said. "They feared for their safety and fired."

No injuries were reported during the incident. Four people were taken into custody afterward.

Agents would not release further details, saying the incident continues to be investigated.

"That's all the information I've got right now," Treviño said.
