Border Wars returns Aug. 29

After a successful debut earlier this year, National Geographic will premiere a second season of the TV show Border Wars at 9 p.m. Eastern and Pacific Time this Sunday, August 29.

The series, which features the men and women of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, will then move to its regular time slot on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Sept. 1, where it will run through January 2011.

With CBP as the focus, the producers have captured operations throughout southern California, in Del Rio, TX; in Miami, in Puerto Rico and in Laredo, TX, capturing 16 new gripping hours of television, says a press release issued by CBP.

These add to the four hours of CBP operations in Nogales, AZ, that made up the first season, which garnered the highest ratings of any premiere in the channel's history.

This season features agents on ATVs, drug interdictions at the ports of entry, outbound operations, interdictions in the Caribbean and security operations at Super Bowl XLIV in Miami.

For many Americans and viewers around the world, Border Wars will be an eye-opening experience. For CBP, the series is a reflection of our agency's values of vigilance, integrity and service to country, says the CBP unit of DHS.
