Sounds more like they're preparing their own citizens to be deported. One of the problems I've heard about is that when they return to Mexico they don't have proper papers. Mexico won't allow their children into the schools without documentation - whether the children were born in Mexico or the U.S.

Perhaps Reggiemay. But as I understand it, mexico doesn't even recognize the matricula consular card as a legitimate form of identification. Further, if they could get a matricular consular card (assuming they must have presented some form of identification to demonstrate they are of mexican heritiage), why couldn't they get a mexican passport or mexican national voter identification card?
The truth is, they do have mexican passports and mexican national voter identification cards and those are what they use to secure the matricular consular card. They cannot open bank accounts with those documents!
The fact of the matter is the only use for these matricular counsluar cards is to use as identification in this country to open banks accounts, etc.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I find that country rude and appalling. There citizens that they help sneak here and pump out baby after baby get deported, take their kids with them and they won't even accept them into school.
That Messico is one screwed in backwards hell hole.

The identification card can be used by community members to serve as a form of identification to open a U.S. bank account
Yeah, under the federal laws they are able to open these bank accounts in the US with the fake ID's and transfer their illegal gains back to Mexico to feed their economy.
Even the US Patriot Act. recognizes the ID for just that purpose only."Where is our democracy if the federal government can break the laws written and enacted by our congress on behalf of the people?"

So the Mexican govt has read the Patriot Act and is exploiting it to keep the bucks coming in.
