    Demand for Border Security First

    Demand border security

    By: LINDA WOODS

"We have room for but one flag, the American flag. We have room for but one language here and that is the English language ... and we have room for but one sole loyalty, and that is a loyalty to the American people."

This quote from Theodore Roosevelt no longer rings true. With the desecration of our precious flag and the flag of Mexico thrust in the face of American citizens and displayed above our flag, we see a different face of those "hard-working immigrants" who will do the jobs Americans allegedly will not do.

Organized mobs of illegal aliens, students and activists descended on our cities to demand the rights of American citizens without any of the duties, responsibilities or loyalty to our country. These immigrants cry racism whenever Americans seek to protect our sovereignty, laws and culture. They do not assimilate and seek to maintain their own culture and language and to transform American cities into Mexican enclaves.

The illegal aliens demand the right to live in our country as immigrants and recognize no borders. They claim that this is "their country" and we are the European interlopers that have stolen "Aztlan" from the Mexican people.

And our reaction to this is what? We have suspended a local high school student and he faces possible charges for organizing a counterprotest displaying the American flag, while MEChA is promoting its anti-American, pro-illegal alien rally over the schools' address system in Spanish (Jurupa High School).

A Border Patrol agent reports that many illegal border crossers that they are catching now have food stamps. Mexican troops are crossing our southern border in uniform in military vehicles and carrying military weapons.

There are tunnels under our borders that demonstrate that we are no safer than on 9/11. Our elected officials are debating how to address the hordes of illegals that are bankrupting our schools, hospitals and social services, and seem to have a problem implementing border security first.

When 92 percent of Americans want our borders secured, shouldn't that be our first priority? There can be no immigration reform until the borders are secured.

Doesn't it make sense to close the floodgates first? A guest worker plan (also known as "amnesty" in any language) is being debated while thousands upon thousands more illegals are flooding in to take advantage of our self-destructive lack of will to enforce our immigration laws and protect our American citizens.

I urge you to contact Sens. Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein. Also call Arlen Specter, John McCain, Bill Frist and Dennis Hastert, among others, and every Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, to urge them to put American citizens first. We must show our lawmakers our resolve and conviction and demand to be heard.

That's what I've been doing....just harping on closing the borders. First things first. The longer they mess around the more difficult the problem comes.

No doubt about that, crazybird. They keep throwing their arms in the air and saying "but there are so many. How can we be expected to deport them all?" Well, every single day there are thousands more, so if we don't get a handle on the border and start sending some people back we are in for SERIOUS TROUBLE in this country. Of course they are really afraid of the visual of illegals being rounded up and shipped out, the crying children, etc., but some tough and not universally-pleasing decisions have to be made. Someone in government needs to step up to the plate and make it happen. My big fear is nothing will be done until after the elections and how many millions more will be here by then??
