Hispanic Republican group supports Dream Act
Hispanic Republican Group Slams GOP's "Extreme" Congressmen
— By Suzy Khimm
Thu Nov. 11, 2010 .Somos Republicans—a fledging Hispanic GOP group—is protesting the likely appointment of Reps. Lamar Smith (R-Tex.) and Steve King (R-Iowa) to leadership positions in the next Congress, criticizing them for promoting anti-Hispanic and anti-immigrant positions. The group submitted "a letter of concern" on Tuesday to incoming House Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor detailing their gripes with Smith, the likely chair of the House Judiciary Committee, and King, who's poised to lead the subcommittee on immigration:
Congressmen Smith and King have repeatedly engaged in rhetoric that is aimed negatively toward Hispanics. Steve King has used defamatory language that is extremely offensive to Hispanics, which is found in numerous congressional records. We believe Steve King’s behavior is not appropriate for a high-level elected Republican who might be in charge of a committee that handles immigration rules. Steve King and Lamar Smith have adopted extreme positions on birthright citizenship, and promise legislation that would undermine the 14th amendment of the constitution, which both swore an oath to uphold…
Representatives Smith and King have engaged in an ill-advised platform and rhetoric that has…caused an exodus of Hispanic voters to the Democratic Party. We ask that you review Mr. King’s and Mr. Smith’s congressional statements desiring to “pass a bill out of the House to end the Constitution's birthright citizenship for U.S.-born children of illegal immigrants,â€

well i can't single out this group and say that their unlike other republicans , because their ARE repulicans who support this ...
but i will say that i deeply disagree with them , and that by giving amnesty all we are doing is enticing MORE people to come over in the belife that we will someday give ANOTHER amnesty ..

Will they ever be done CRYING in their soup?
If there is hatred, which I will not say does not exist, but it comes from their attitudes towards America and AMERICANS! I for one am tired of their attitudes when it comes to enforcing our laws in this country and securing the borders.
If they can not get over that then they need to leave and don't let the door hit you in the ass as you go."When you have knowledge, you have a responsibility to do better"_ Paula Johnson

The highest percentage of illegals in this country are between the ages of 17 and 36. the DREAM Act gives amnesty, with little oversight or background checks to all between the ages of 16 and 35, which will effectively be most of them and then allows for chain migration. The DREAM Act is the door to the floodgate and if they get the DREAM Act, they really won't need CIR.
We don't immigration reform, we need to have our laws enforced which is the intentionally failed job of the globalist politicians that have been in power. JMOSupport our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

Immigration was NOT in Hispanics top issues. It was JOBS and Education. They have the nerve to state CIR is an issue after the stomping PRO-AMNESTY candidates and the dems just got????? It certainly didn't matter in this election and won't be an issue in the next. There are just as many Hispanics who oppose amnesty. How do you think Brewer got elected by a landslide in AZ? A Republican gov. of New Mexico??

First of all Somos Republicans is not really a 'group'.
It is a website run by one or two illegal alien supporting activists.
Second, Mother Jones is a radical communist organization.
