Most illegal aliens can not afford the passage to come here. The family and friends of the people who become illegal aliens should be putting their money into food self sufficiency and job creation in Mexico and not bringing them here to compete with our poor for jobs and getting on our public benefit rolls. This is a farce--a public relations ploy. Mexico can't resettle them all permanently on the border--and have no plans for Mexican interior relocation or deportee relocation to their home area. Calderon will feed and employ them until they recross the border.

I agree with you Richard,Calderon is doing a good thing.I think what folks posting here are refering to is a lot of IA's being deported are Aliens who have done criminal acts such as rape,drug use etc. in our country and having them all in one area.

I am glad for those,who are not bad criminals,that they are being helped and I think most would agree.

I believe that the per centage of people who commited non immigration crime as described above including theft and drug violation among the deportees is about one in four.

I don't know Richard since they have been cracking down on and deporting a lot of gang members recently the percentage may be higher.

I hope this is the begining of Calderon's taking responsibility for his citizens and I hope he works to create jobs all over Mexico for them.
