NE Gov pressured to give prenatal care to Illegal Aliens

Governor Heineman is getting bombarded with pressure to give prenatal care to Illegal Aliens. So far, Gov H is holding his own and acting on behalf of the Nebraska taxpayer.

If you haven't sent an email or made your calls and try to get every adult in your household to do the same we may lose this battle. - the Public Pulse letters may be sent to: pulse@owh.com and to Gov Heineman's email: dave.heineman@nebraska.gov

Inside word at the unicameral is even though a lot of senators do not want to pass this bill, they may because of the Nebraska Right to Life's support (they have a membership of 67,000 members). Although, I see plenty of pro-lifers writing article comments that they do not support this bill.

NRL and the Bishops and others are saying that by NOT providing prenatal care to Illegal Alien women that will cause them to get abortions. NONSENSE!

That baby is their free ride to welfare and other benefits and services! AND if the Illegal Alien is smart enough to get into our country illegally, then continue to stay here illegally, SHE IS RESOURCEFUL ENOUGH TO MOVE TO A STATE THAT IS WILLING TO PAY FOR HER, HER BABY AND THE NEXT 18 YEARS OF ASSISTANCE FOR THEM.

Nebraska's Roman Catholic bishops are urging Gov. Dave Heineman to reconsider his opposition to state-funded care for pregnant illegal immigrants.

Jim Cunningham of the Nebraska Catholic Conference says a letter from the bishops was hand-delivered Wednesday morning to the governor.
Cunningham says the letter expresses disappointment in Heineman's stance. He declined to release a copy of the letter, saying he wanted to give the governor time to read it first.
Heineman told state lawmakers last week that he's opposed to illegal immigrants receiving taxpayer-funded benefits.
The Legislature is considering a bill that would allow pregnant, illegal immigrants to continue to get state- and federal-funded prenatal care.

Do the repbulicans not realize that they more illegals they let in this country and stay, the worse it will be for them at election time. Although they are not suppose to vote, they will vote for Dems who will keep giving them free stuff on the taxpayers dime.

You know what's terrible is that FreedomWorks who is supposed to be a conservative group is now touting AMNESTY. Tom Tancredo did an article about the CPAC conference where so called conservative group(s) were calling for support to AMNESTY! Go take a look at the freedomworks website - see who is on their board of directors - the pieces of the puzzle begin to fall into place.

It seems like we are fighting everyone!

Giving them free prenatal care instead of reporting and deporting them is what allows citizen anchor babies to be born in this country.

So why is it that someone who is not even here legally gets all these benefits? My sister God bless her, slaves away and so does my brother-in-law and all they have are these stories of these people who always want some freakin handout. Nobody told you to have kids!

The thing that really steams me is how a lot of this is Hispanic who practice Catholicism. Now I have friends that are Catholic, but it steams me that they are against birth control and don't care how many kids they have. They should look to their God if they are having these kids and not to the government. Most of the Catholics are coming from places where there are a lot of Catholics, like Mexico, Panama, Honduras (very poor), Guatamala, and other Latin countries.
