When I heard this it immediately made me think of Bush and Obama. Both of those guys attempted to play us by doing things to make them seem serious about halting illegal immigration and stopping it from coming in the future. Bush signed the Secure Fence Act, done some business raids, and increased border patrol agent numbers. Obama on the other hand tried deporting a lot of people early on thinking that would make the American public think he was serious about enforcing immigration law. Of course he gave up after the "gang of eight" failure and did everything in his power to gut federal law enforcement.
Could it be that President Trump is doing the exact same thing, but doing it in a different way. He came out running with tough talk and executive orders. Is his goal really the same as the two former President's plan ........ Comprehensive immigration Reform (amnesty)? He could see that as a huge feather in his cap since both Bush and Obama failed at it.
