I hope he doesn't try to peddle the legal status without citizenship nonsense. We've heard that ruse before.

He's talking about immigration reform now in his speech, but it's all about reforming LEGAL immigration so immigrants who do come here legally come on a merit-based system proving they can support themselves without welfare and no one would be admitted if they are taking a job from an American Worker or depressing wages for American Workers.
He said something incredibly vague about "pursuing immigration reform that has eluded us for decades" Whatever that means?
W
It was "incredibly vague."
He's talking about legal immigration, getting rid of chain migration, green cards, importing low wage, unemployed, unskilled workers who can't support themselves here and sign up for welfare. We didn't use to allow immigration on that basis and only allowed about 70,000 immigrants in a year. Then the Democrats changed it in the 60's to this green card deal and Congresses ever since started raising the numbers dramatically by the hundreds of thousands to now over 1.1 million green cards a year. Plus all the other visas. Plus all this unfettered illegal immigration.
So when Trump talks about immigration reform, he's talking about legal immigration reform, not legalizing illegal aliens.
He needs to end DACA now so we can all put our worries on that to bed.
This is NOT vague.
Kelly: No Use of US Military to Enforce Immigration, No Mass Deportations
I don't get it. What's wrong with that? We don't want US military enforcing US immigration law, maybe guarding the borders or putting down riots, National Guard stuff. And Trump has already said, people will be deported rapidly but according to law with priorities and of course our laws require we transport them. Trump never used the term "mass deportations". That's a MEDIA "fake news" term. But they all will be gone, they will all be deported, just not "en masse", not all at once. Over time.
