Entrant convicted of sex assault in '06 is rearrested
Arizona Daily Star
Tucson, Arizona | Published: 07.27.2007
advertisementBorder Patrol agents arrested a 31-year-old illegal entrant from Mexico late Wednesday night who was convicted of sexual assault in Colorado and had been deported last week in Douglas.
Agents captured the man overnight and discovered his sexual assault conviction Thursday morning while running his fingerprints through an electronic database at a processing center in Nogales, said Jim Hawkins, Border Patrol Tucson Sector spokesman.
The man, whose name was not released Thursday, was convicted of sexual assault on July 26, 2006, in Littleton, Colo., and deported through Douglas last week, Hawkins said.
Border Patrol officials estimate that about 10 percent of the people they catch have criminal records. Recent data seem to bear that out.
From Oct. 1 through June 15, 31,152 — or 11 percent — of the 288,018 apprehensions made in the Tucson Sector were illegal entrants with criminal records, said DeWitt, citing the latest figures available.
During the same time in 2006, 28,592 — or 9 percent — of the 313,645 apprehended had criminal records, he said.

If they built a wall, once they were deported they would have no way of repetitive ILLEGAL RE-ENTRY
It's Time to Rescind the 14th Amendment

So, at least 18% of illegals breaking in already have criminal records from commiting previous crimes in the U.S.
Yes, and I assume the criminals have more incentive to get back in without getting caught. Their #s are probably even higher than that.

But overall, I have my doubts.
That's not to say that I don't think they are doing a great job in very bad circumstances. Mostly hardships put on them by this administration.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I can't believe this guy served such a short sentence for the original offence to be deported after less than a year in custodody. Something is very wrong with this picture if a convicted rapist isn't serving a longer sentence.

Yes, something stinks, doesn't it?
But this whole illegals thing stinks.
I sit here and come up with strange scenarios about what is going on.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
