In 2007, Casa de Maryland, the left-wing advocacy for illegal immigrants, placed 10,955 day laborers in jobs, according to the non-profit's latest annual report.

However, it is known that 1,751 new Maryland employers hired Casa's thousands of day laborers, according to the report.
