Sounds to me like the word "Useful" is the operative word in countries south of the border.

American companies moving to Mexico are Useful.
Money being sent back to Mexico by immigrants is Useful.
US government subsidies to Mexico is Useful.
Building Mexican consulates all over the US is Useful.
Spreading Spanish in the US is Useful.
    Having dual citizenship is Useful.
Sending Mexican transports up here is Useful.
Allowing illegal immigrants to be squatters in another country is Useful.
Creating Latino newspapers, TV, and radio in the US is Useful.
Anchor babies being born to Mexican parents is Useful.
Manufacturing illegal drugs in Mexico is Useful.
Mexican infusion into all levels of US educational systems is Useful.
U.S. politicians who place Mexican ethnics first are Useful.
Organized pressure and lobbying is Useful.
Demands, threats, and lies are Useful.
    Inappropriate historical claims are Useful.
    Religious compellation is Useful.

It seems like Useful is a primary goal for what is considered good in Mexican thought.
I'm not sure what other concepts they can attribute to success.
