Bay County Sheriff’s officers rounded up illegal aliens, and anyone else with active warrants for their arrest, Monday night. Officers began the sweep around 4 o’clock in the afternoon and have arrested nineteen people. Twelve of the people arrested were illegal aliens, seven of them were arrested on other changes.

Once someone was taken into custody, they were brought back to the substation on the west end of Panama City Beach and put on a prisoner transport bus. Many of them don’t have any other charge against them except that they are an illegal alien, but as the name implies it is a crime for them to be in the country. Sheriff Frank McKeithen says that means it’s the Sheriff Office’s job to take them off of the streets.

“It may not be real popular. It may not be politically correct. The point is that we have to abide by the law. Other citizens have to abide by the law, so why shouldn’t everyone?â€

Well that is 19 fewer votes for Obama, unless of course they voted early.
