Ms. Romero said, "Returning to my country fills me with emotion. But I also feel for my children because they have so many opportunities here."
Her 6-year-old, Jose, a U.S. citizen, interrupted the conversation to say, "I want to stay here, so I can learn English."
Veronica Escobedo, a U.S. citizen raised in Mexico, has three children. She fears for her husband, an illegal immigrant.
"We have family members that have been deported," she said. "My husband is scared and said, 'I don't want the same thing to happen to me.' "
Now, a Mexican government Web site for the Interior Ministry shows a group of Mexicans in line at a metal fence in San Ysidro, California. The headline reads: "Program of Human Repatriation." The subtext: "The federal, state and municipal government and civil society are organizing to help you with dignified treatment so that you can return to your community of origin. We will provide: Medical and psychological help, shelter and food, and communication with your loved ones and information on your options for employment."
The Mexican government is considering building reception facilities for returnees at four border points, including Nuevo Laredo and Ciudad Juárez, Mr. Hubbard said. A group of Mexican governors is lobbying for preferential hiring of returning immigrants for large infrastructure projects, he noted.
Such a move comes after two Mexican governors came to Dallas last summer to meet with immigrants, who angrily asked them why there was no plan for jobs when they return.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I dont buy it for a moment... nothing more than a dis-information program to get the activest that want laws enforced to back off and go back to sleep with warm and fuzzy thoughts as the VERY CORRUPT Politicians in DC and the State Capitals bend and twist the Constitution and allow even more Illegal Aliens as well as H1Bs to rush through the doors

Illegal Immigrants returning home
If you believe over 1 million Mexicans have returned home in the last year, you also believe only 12 million were here in the first place.
Why can't we get verifiable numbers anywhere? Oh yeah, we aren't allowed to ask the school children or the hospital patients, or the apartment renters, or the workers. Even if we asked, how many will lie?
Until there is a fail safe way to gauge how many come in and how many leave----we will never know the truth.
Texas is over run with Hispanics. I have lived in the same neighborhood for 26 years and it is more than obvious the Mexicans, Central Americans and related foreigners have been given the key to this state.
NO FEAR OF ENFORCEMENT HERE. I think this is where they are self deporting to.

I don't buy any of this for a second so long as that southern border remains wide open and illegals still have access to social/welfare programs in this country. No matter how bad they say it is here, mexico still does not subsidize these people the way this country does...
