Everyone in Miami knows that Little Havana is home to a large percentage of illegal aliens. Once Cubans got better off they moved out. I am keeping an eye on his booking info as he is not getting bond at this time. He was arrested last night so chances are that ICE has not reviewed his arrest form yet. The jails in Miami Dade County do have ICE people check immigration status.

Semi-Nude Intruder Arrested For Attacking Woman

Single Mother in Little Havana Fights Back To Protect Her Children
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
Luis Eduardo Saucedo, 26, was accused of attempted sexual assault and burglary with assault.
Sanjuana Caudillo was awakened just after midnight in her Little Havana apartment by a semi-naked man standing over her bed. He yanked her up by her hair, and the single mother of four started fighting.

"He knocked me off the bed, and when he knocked me off I fought back and my kids started crying. My main concern was to protect my kids because my children are the most important thing to me," Caudillo said.

But on Thursday afternoon, police had made an arrest. They accused 26-year-old Mexican laborer Luis Eduardo Saucedo. He was her former neighbor and he has been charged with attempted sexual battery and burglary with assault. According to the police report, he had "drank a couple of beers and got high on cocaine" when he went into the victim's apartment through the window.

He said he wasn't completely naked. He wore a red shirt and shorts. After she struggled, Saucedo ran out, but left behind some incriminating clues including a pair of black sandals and his black underwear, which police say, he had placed inside his pocket before breaking into the apartment.

Caudillo, who works full time at a neighborhood bakery, said it was clear what the unclad attacker intended and she was determined to repel the attack. "He tried to do what every crazy man wants to do but nothing happened. I wouldn't let him. I fought him as best I could. He wasn't armed. He didn't say anything. He just kept hitting me."

But the petite young mother hit back with ferocity. The intruder fled through the same window he came in through, and down an alley separating Caudillo's building from the one next door. He was still naked. Police believe the scene may have been captured by a security camera on the adjacent building. The area in the 1200 block of Southwest 6th Street was illuminated by street lights.

Neighbor Sally Boza was aghast to hear of the attack in the apartment across from hers. "That scares me to death," Boza said. "That scares me for my safety."

Caudillo said this is the first time she has been the victim of a violent crime. Because the lights were not on in her bedroom, she says she was unable to get a good look at her attacker. "I could describe his silhouette," she said.

The trauma of the early morning attack adds to the already considerable stress facing a single mom providing for four young children. "I take good care of my kids," she said. "I'm grateful that God allowed me to live, and to still be here for my children."
