Protesters in San Jose upset with Mi Pueblo using E-Verify

Protesters in San Jose upset with Mi Pueblo using E-Verify

    Posted Sep 06, 2012

The Bay Area’s biggest Latino grocery chain is causing a stir in the immigrant community after it began checking the immigration status of all its new hires through the federal E-Verify program.

Unions are pushing for a customer boycott. Founded in 1991 on the Eastside of San Jose, the chain of 21 stores stretches from Pittsburg to Peninsula and the Central Valley and employs about 3,300 people.

Spokeswoman Perla Rodriguez says company joined E-VERIFY on the government’s strong recommendation, and that the verification only affects new hires, not existing employees.

Just more evidence that aliens have no respectt for law and deportationis are the only thing that will work short of jailing alll of them for treason. Would'nt some of their statements and actions get Americans accused of treason? So, equality starts with showing respect for Amerca, prosecute or deport.

If I knew of a company that was doing this in opposition to the (fkn) Unions and illegals, I would be PROUD to spend my money there! And the bonus would be to NOT hear anything other than ENGLISH being spoken.

Look for a small decal, usually about 3x4 inches out on a front widow or door, near an office door, on a bulliten board, etc. because companies that use E-VERIFY are required to let potential applicants know that they use E-VERIFY. (This also helps scare off illegals.) Most people don't even notice them. The just say, WE USE E-VERIFY on all job aplicants. Sometimes at fast food places they are stuck on the front edge of the counter all the way at the end of one side or the other.

I would definitely shop here if this store was in my area. I will spend money with any company that is using this system. And I totally agree with the English being spoken, immigrants used to have to speak English and pledge their allegiance to America to get citizenship. I am all for deportation of illegal aliens. Not just if they have committed a crime, all who are caught. I work in an industry where I see a lot of them and most all of them are either collecting welfare or some other kind of governmental aid. The problem with this is they have never and will never pay into the system they are so conveniently raping.
As they are not using a valid SS number they seldom get caught by these agencies. This is also confusing to me as that should be a dead giveaway.
Well, just my thoughts on this matter and I am currently writing my governor constantly to try to get better, more strict laws on illegal immigrants.
