Post Sheriff: 3 Mexican cartels active in Dayton area

By Steve Bennish - Staff Writer Posted: 12:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016

Whether or not drug cartels were involved in the deaths of eight Pike County family members last month, they are active in southern Ohio, where three Mexican cartels have been tied to the distribution of heroin, cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamine.

Montgomery County Sheriff Phil Plummer said the cartels involved in drug distribution and sales in the area include Sinaloa, La Familia and Los Zetas, all Mexico-based crime syndicates.

The Mexican Mafia, a U.S. prison gang, is tapped for security on the drug runs, Plummer said. His deputies routinely encounter cartel members, he said, some of whom have been deported numerous times.

Plummer’s deputies participate in the Bulk Currency Task Force, a combined effort with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office and Homeland Security.

Over the past 2 1/2 years, the task force has seized 99 pounds of heroin, 67 pounds of cocaine, 1,351 pounds of marijuana, 41 pounds of methamphetamine, and 4,938 pills — about $14.6 million in value for all the drugs.

They’ve also seized $3.94 million in currency and 39 firearms. There have been 243 arrests associated with the seizures.

Lately, Plummer said, the cartels have been trying to create a new market for meth, with more of that drug flowing into the region.

“It’s a multi-billion-dollar industry for them and they have resources to do anything they want,” Plummer said. “We lack the resources.

“Now that we have become a source city for drug distribution, we need more resources to combat this problem,” he said, frustrated at being turned down by the Montgomery County Commission following requests for more funding.

“I ask for more people and they turn me down,” he said.

They are like a cancer destroying our beautiful States and countryside. They have already destroyed our inner-cities with the graffiti, the gangs, the rape, the crime, the murder. Destroying neighborhoods one street at a time. I have been at Yosemite and have seen the gang graffiti, the trash they leave in our beautiful National Parks. We need that Wall, we need it now. But most importantly we need OUR troops on our border ASAP and turn every illegal caught, no matter the age, right back around.

Our military built the Alaska Highway in less than 10 months for fear of Japanese invasion. They can build the wall. This is an invasion and has been going on for decades. No more!

They came through Mexico and they can go right back through Mexico. Why can't they be walked right back across the nearest border crossing? Why must WE spend our billions of dollars, out of our pockets, to fly them back! They walked over...and they can walk back home. They made they way here from Central America and they can walk their damn selves right back.

Cut off all freebies and end the anchor baby scam.

This is what happens on Kasich's watch where "everybody should stay".... dead industrial areas are now crack zones & look who is there to make $$ by supplying crack, meth, heroin.

What a horrible president he would have been and he is not a good vp choice. His staying in for a period of time, could've helped Trump and hurt cruz though. But cruz had no chance nationally anyway.

    Criminal illegals: Deport them

    BY THE TRIBUNE-REVIEW | Sunday, May 8, 2016, 9:00 p.m. Updated 5 hours ago

It is a broken immigration system that set free nearly 20,000 illegal aliens last year who had been convicted of 64,000 crimes, including assault, kidnapping and murder.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which released the latest figures, says about half of these criminals were ordered released on bond by immigration judges. Others were set free under a 2001 Supreme Court ruling, which mandates a six-month cap on detaining criminal illegal aliens unless there are “extenuating circumstances.”

But The Washington Times reports that in more than 7,000 cases, illegals who established their criminal careers in America were released at the discretion of ICE.

Apologists for interloping lawbreakers accuse ICE's critics of painting all aliens with a broad brush. But no brush can gloss over the tragedies, which last year included Casey Chadwick of Connecticut. She was fatally stabbed by Haitian Jean Jacques, who had served time for attempted murder but was back on the streets because he refused to produce documents proving his identity, authorities said. No wonder Haiti refused to accept him.

Then there's Sarah Root of Omaha Neb., killed this year by an illegal who allegedly was drag racing while drunk. He was released on bond and now is in the wind.

Each and every one of this thugs should have been deported posthaste, regardless of their home countries' refusal to accept them.

Yes, we have to deport them, all, every single one, no child left behind. We can never fix this mess without getting every illegal alien out of the country and to those who pretend to be "skeptics" on how this can be done, just sit down, shut up and watch. This mess will be out of here in 2 years.

Cut off all aid and Visa's to those home countries who refuse to accept them back...and those countries who are dumping them across our borders. And that includes the Cuban's. End the wet foot / dry foot. End anchor baby, end DACA, end DAPA, no amnesty and no asylum anymore.

Give these countries a Comprehensive Plan for Reform including mandatory population control. Or no money, no aid, no oatmeal. We cannot continue to pay for and support the ENTIRE world or it's problems.

We have our own infrastructure roads, bridges, sewer, water, airports to rebuild. Putting American's back to work. Not waste OUR money, out of OUR wallets on this scam over the US taxpayers.

NO PAPERS - NO ENTRY - NO DETENTION - IMMEDIATE DEPORTATION
