A Donna school was put under lockdown after three men believed to be illegal immigrants approached a group of students.

Authorities told Action 4 News that the incident happened today at a school off Val Verde Road in Donna.

Investigators said three illegal immigrants approached the students and asked them for help.

The students told their teacher who phoned police.

Administrators said the school was placed under lockdown while Border Patrol agents and police searched for the immigrants.

Authorities found the immigrants and the lockdown was lifted.
