TORONTO — Canada has released the names of 30 suspected war criminals the government says entered the country illegally.

The government launched a website Thursday identifying the suspects, who are from a variety of countries, and is asking the public to report any information that could lead to their whereabouts.

Immigration Minister Jason Kenney said anyone who has committed or has been an accomplice to war crimes should be deported.

He says he's concerned some war criminals may be setting their sights on Canada because of what he calls the country's reputation of a lax asylum system.

Kenney's announcement comes a day after he said the government would revoke the citizenship of at least 1,800 people who allegedly used fraudulent means to obtain citizenship status.
