An anti-immigration group Wednesday demanded an investigation into McDonald's hiring practices, claiming to have collected evidence that the company disproportionately hires Hispanics in Connecticut.

But state officials declined, questioning the group's findings. And the state's official liaison with the Hispanic community said he found it "offensive" that anyone would go to such lengths to monitor McDonald's hiring practices.

"This sounds to me more like systematic persecution," said Fernando Betancourt, the state's commissioner for Latino and Puerto Rican affairs.

The beef macdonalds serves is all from south america, why shouldn't those who serve it also come from there? cheers glenn

YES! This is exactly what I have advocated! Go into any Hispanic barrio and look at the Mexican mom and pop shops and look at any big Hispanic owned company in California and look at the employees! All Hispanic and Spanish speaking! No blacks, no whites and no Asians..it is reverse discrimination and it is time to get a lawyer and sue...if they can play that game we can too!!!! This ends a message that they are not going to come here and cry RACISM and act like a bunch of bigots!

The McDonald's I visited in Billings, MT a few weeks ago had NO Mexicans whatsoever! All white skinned english speaking employees.

Denver International Airport was almost all illegal Mexican until 9-11 when the INS did a raid. Mangers had to come from the local offices to work the restaurants because the INS arrested the illegals! Now, most of the employees are BLACK and immigrant but LEGAL and from Africa from what I can tell. You see, Denver had a black mayor named Wellington Web and Denver had sister city relationship with some Ethiopian cities so for some reason we have immigrants from Ethiopia working in the McDonald's at Denver International Airport!! Maybe they are from Somalia.....American business owners just can't enough CHEAP labor by either exporting jobs or importing people! YUP YUP YUP!
