Authorities tell the Los Angeles Times that they discovered 14 suspected illegal immigrants who said they were being held against their will inside a Reseda, Calif., home.

The 10 men and four women, most from Central America, said smugglers had charged each of them $5,000 to $7,000 to bring them into the United States and were holding them in the single-story home in the San Fernando Valley until they came up with more money, Virginia Kice, a spokeswoman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, told the Times.

Authorities were notified after one of the alleged captives dialed 911 from a cellphone and said their alleged captors were not allowing them to leave, the paper reported. Ten of the suspected illegal immigrants are from Guatemala, three are from El Salvador and one is from the Dominican Republic, Kice said.

If the federal government had secured the border after the Reagan Amnesty in 1986 like they said they would we wouldn't have MILLIONS of illegal aliens all over our country now.
