Fake Dentists Accused of Giving Patients Serious Oral Infections

GEORGETOWN, Del. — Georgetown police have arrested two city residents who were allegedly working as illegal dentists in their apartment.

Police say 35-year-old Carlos Ruben Ramos-Martin and 41-year-old Delma Lopez-Ramirez were arrested Wednesday. The two illegal immigrants had tooth extraction tools, lidocaine, needles, syringes, dental powders and teeth molds despite not having a license as dentists.

Neighbors in the Crestwood Gardens Apartment Complex reported the illegal dentistry. Police were also told about individuals having serious oral infections after receiving dental treatment at the men's apartment.

An immigration detainer has been placed on the pair. The two only served Hispanic patients who police say were also illegal immigrants.

I see alot of that in Miami Dade and Broward Counties. These people come here be it legally or illegally and cannot accept the fact their degrees are worthless here. One illegal dentist was actually arrrested in my condo complex. Usually the fake dentists are Colombians here in South Florida and fake doctor's are often Cubans. In fact MSNBC had a show on fake doctors and dentists and even showed some of their clinics. I was not surprised when they said which countries the most often guilty people came from. They arrested a fake plastic surgeon from Mexico in Broward County a couple of days ago and he only got a 90 day sentence. That is peanuts and he will do what others who got caught like him do.... reopen another clinic.

Reminds me the olden days where the barber was also your surgeon.
