SACRAMENTO, CA, United States (UPI) -- A Los Angeles Times poll finds that California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger remains unpopular with voters, although he has recovered a little.

The survey found that 44 percent of those polled approve of the governor`s job performance, up from 37 percent in October. But more than half, 53 percent, give him a negative rating and only 31 percent say they are likely to vote for him in November.

In the race for the Democratic nomination for governor, State Controller Steve Westly has a 13-point lead over Treasurer Phil Angelides. About one-third picked Westly to 20 percent for Angelides, but about half say they are still undecided about their choice in the June 6 primary.

In more bad news for Schwarzenegger, 61 percent of those polled think California is headed in the wrong direction. Immigration is the top issue, followed by high gas prices.

"Immigration is the top issue?" Why..., I haven't thought of that. Duh! This is what you get for pandering to Illegals. Like they were ever going to vote for him.

Wake up you stupid Liberal Republicans!!
