Thread: New Pro-Amnesty Group Being Formed?

Sorry if this has been posted previously, but here is an excerpt from an opinion piece in the WSJ that indicates a new apparent pro-amnesty group called "Our Pledge" is being formed. Of course, efforts to promote assimilation are worthwhile, but if this group is being used to sell "pathway" amnesty, I am very skeptical. I see right off the bat there is no distinction between legal immigrants and illegal aliens, at least in this article. If anyone has any info on this group, please post:

Jeb Bush and Cisneros!!! You have to be kidding. That sounds like one big push for amnesty. Jeb's wife is hispanic and in Florida his record,I believe, has been pro-amnesty.

LEGAL Immigrants - Yes! Absolutely!

ILLEGAL ALIENS - NOT A SNOWBALL'S CHANCE IN HELL! I will only help them 'navigate' their way OUTTA HERE and back where they belong!

Who cares? The numbers are against them and another Bush is not going to sway anyone to change their minds.

You know they mean ILLEGAL ALIENS. I guess Jeb Boy thinks if they learn english, they will be acceptable to us, and we won't mind if they continue screwing up the country.

First - this has the Makings of the CFR and the Trilateral commision all over it

Second - the term Illegal Immigrant has been removed and replaced with Immigrant. That alone is enough to burn my back side

third - become self-sufficient: Uh you mean dont bleed the Welfare state and bancrupt our hospitals until they close thier doors; do you mean dont take money for housing from HUD that Americans cannot get... how is it that the entitlements that are bancrupting our country is for every one but our citizens

Fourth - I am completly opposed to any form of citizenship for law breakers. I am sick of it, I am sick of corruption, I am sick of politicians bending this issue

Fifth - put up the FENCE Democrats and Republicans or find another career

I agree, good comments. We'll what develops about this group, but I'm skeptical. If we grant amnesty, pathway or whatever, this will just encourage more illegal immigration. The answer is NO.

The illegal aliens here now have already demonstrated their absolute refusal to assimilate. We, in turn, have demonstrated our absolute refusal to grant ANY amnesty whatsoever, in any form or at any time.

For this, we must thank the organizers of the May Day marches in LA.

For politicians out there, heed your constituents or find yourself out of office.
