SAN DIEGO - Border Patrol agents arrested 11 suspected illegal immigrants today after they were dropped off by boat on the shoreline north of La Jolla.

After taking the group into custody at Torrey Pines State Beach about 4:30 a.m., a U.S. Customs and Border Protection marine unit intercepted a small boat off the coast in the area and arrested two people suspected of having transported the undocumented aliens into the country, according to CBP public affairs.

The arrests occurred about 18 hours after U.S. Border Patrol agents captured 22 suspected illegal immigrants in a remote part of Shelter Valley, southeast of Julian, and roughly 32 hours after they apprehended 12 alleged undocumented aliens during a traffic stop in Campo.
