LITTLETON – Police say a suspected drunk driver lost control of an SUV on Sunday and slammed into the front porch of an apartment building where several people were standing, killing one person and injuring three others.

Littleton Police say 22-year-old Adrian Pizana-Rodriguez, who also goes by Adrian Pizano, lost control of a Ford Explorer at 10:15 p.m., hit two parked cars, then drove up onto the porch of the apartment complex at 368 W. Powers Ave. Several people were standing on the porch at the time.

Authorities say the three people who were hurt were taken to area hospitals, none of whom had serious injuries. The victim who was killed was a 41-year-old resident of the area who police say was an undocumented immigrant. His name was not immediately released.

Pizana-Rodriguez, who police say is also an undocumented immigrant who did not have a Colorado driver's license, was treated for minor injuries and was later booked into the Arapahoe County Jail for vehicular homicide. Additional charges are pending.

Additionally, police say the apartment building sustained partial damage, but a city building inspector ruled the structure was still sound.
