A boat with migrants thought to be Haitians and possibly carrying guns and drugs came ashore Thursday night at Coral Cove Park in Martin County, authorities said.
While there were conflicting reports, news partner WPTV Ch. 5 reported that 15 people were aboard a boat and that 13 were being held in custody at the park, which is on Jupiter Island.
WPTV also reported that at least two migrants were dead and that drugs and guns were found aboard the boat.
At least six different agencies - the Martin County Sheriff's Office, Tequesta police, Jupiter Island police, Jupiter police, Border Patrol and the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office - were helping in the search for the migrants.
