    THE BROWNSVILLE HERALD

    An obscure communiqué claiming to be from members of organized crime points to an apparent splinter group forming from disillusioned members of the Gulf Cartel, the Sinaloa Cartel and the Familia Michoacana.

    The communiqué claims to be from La Nueva Federación and states that after having worked with the three cartels in their effort to fight the Zetas, they came to the realization that their former associates worked just like the group they were trying to eradicate.
