    HOUSTON—The immigration tuition question sparked one of the more fiery moments during Thursday night’s televised GOP presidential debate.

    Texas began allowing undocumented students to pay in-state tuition about 10 years ago. Gov. Rick Perry found himself defending his support of in-state tuition fees for undocumented students.

    “That shouldn’t be allowed. That makes no sense at all,â€

    However, a student at San Jacinto College, who did not want to be identified, had much deeper concerns. She said she fears the presidential debate could lead to a movement that would do away with in-state tuition for undocumented students. She said it would be a lot harder to take classes because of the costs.
    This illegal alien student is right. What has just happened is going to end up leading to the repeal of in-state tuition laws.
