Thread: Obama-Appointed Judge Halts Deportation of Illegal Immigrant Pizza Deliveryman

A Manhattan federal judge appointed by former President Barack Obama halted the deportation of an illegal immigrant pizza deliveryman in New York on Saturday.

New York Federal District Court Judge Alison J. Nathan ruled in favor of the plaintiff, Pablo Villavicencio Calderon, after lawyers for the Ecuadorean national filed an emergency petition on his behalf, the New York Times reported.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials took Villavicencio into custody after the 35-year-old illegal alien failed to produce a legal driver’s license to enter a military base where he was trying to deliver pizza.

Villavicencio, who is married and has two daughters who are U.S. citizens, agreed in 2010 to voluntarily depart the country after an immigration judge ordered him to depart the U.S.

Villavicencio never left the country after the judge’s ruling in 2010.

Nathan, whom Obama appointed in 2001, had a long history of working with Obama and other Democratic candidates before being appointed as a federal judge.

According to Nathan’s faculty page on New York University Law School’s website, she worked as an Associate National Counsel for John Kerry’s 2004 presidential campaign and then served a “voter protection coordinator” and adviser for the Obama campaign when he ran for office in 2008.

In 2009, after Obama became president, he hired Nathan as a special assistant to the president in the White House and then as an associate White House counsel.

It's almost like the media is covering up something

Since the guy already signed an agreement to deport in 2010, I don't really see what legal leg the judge has to stand on. I don't see any ambiguity here but I guess he's using the fact that the illegal married a U.S. citizen to support his ruling. Just my unqualified opinion.

It is too bad that too many judges rule according to their partisanship rather than on the law. Our country continues to deteriorate because of it.

So what do you think is being covered up? Or is this just another bone you are throwing in?

Illegal drug money, what else? They bought a Judge. Happens somewhere in America multiple times a day when the subjects are illegal aliens.

Wow! You are really tight with Boomslang. I guess you guys speak a language I am unfamiliar with. I just couldn't see that in what he wrote. I guess it's good that he has a spokesperson like you to write on his behalf!

Well, Boomslang reads my posts and my posts have made the connection between illegal immigration and the illegal drug trade for years. It's the only connection that explains traitors in Congress spending their time trying to protect illegal aliens who steal jobs from Americans. It's the only connection that explains sanctuary cities and states spending their time and their state's money protecting illegal aliens who kill their citizens, run drugs, operate gangs and suck on welfare. It's the only connection that explains rulings by Judges who are supposed to uphold the intent of a law written to deport illegal aliens but instead give them permission to stay here illegally. It's the only explanation that explains all these bizarre actions that completely contradict the law, the will of the people and the best interest of the United States.

That's just my opinion of what's been covered up by the media and others in all of these disastrous actions and rulings by people who are paid by taxpayers to act and rule in the American interest, instead of the interest of foreign invaders occupying our land in violation of US immigration law.

Please ... I seriously doubt a pizza delivery guy is working for a drug cartel. It's clear for anyone to see, you're grasping at straws on this. While I don't deny that drug cartels are a problem, I don't give them credit for everything where illegals are concerned. Individual illegals come here for various reasons and while some may have connections to drug cartels, most do not. To sit there and say the judge was bought by a drug cartel without a hint of evidence to support such a claim is just beyond sensible logic (IMO).
