"Yeah I knew about this for awhile. I learned it over the summer. Over 80% of Cubans who make it into the country are doing it through Mexico. And the thing is, the Dry Foot policy still applies for them. So they can get caught by border patrol on US ground...and all they need to do is show their ID...and then they are done. Plus, some Cubans are selling their credentials in Mexico to them so THEY can pretend to be Cubans when coming into the US. Cubans have a National ID, Passport ID, and Driver's license. So that is 2 other opportunities for them to sell their info."
