Two suspects connected to the MS-13 street gang were arrested by Vienna Police following an armed robbery Friday, March 17, at the Cedar Lane Shopping Center.
Another man is being sought in still another, but unrelated, armed robbery at the center Tuesday, March 21.

Two store employees suffered minor injuries in the first incident.

Arrested in connection with the Friday afternoon robbery at Mike's Warehouse, 262 Cedar Lane, are David Vasquez, 23, and Christopher Sanchez, 20, both with no fixed address.

Vienna Police Capt. Michael Miller said the gang connection was made in interviews with the two men after their arrests. "They had MS-13 tattoos," Miller said, adding that "there is a growing gang culture in Northern Virginia." Vienna has a full-time officer assigned to the Regional Gang Task Force, Miller said.

Both men are facing six charges, including possession of a firearm while not a U.S. citizen, abduction, criminal grand larceny, robbery and use of a weapon in the commission of a crime. In addition, Sanchez is charged with failure to appear in court in Richmond on a robbery charge. Both men are being held in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
