Three Southern Arizona brothers are recovering after they were shot Sunday in Nogales, Mexico.

The Nogales International paper reports the three brothers, ages19, 26, and 34, are from Rio Rico and are listed in fair condition at a Tucson hospital.

A fourth man from Nogales, Ariz., was shot during an early-morning attack that left an off-duty police officer dead and a fifth man wounded. It was unclear what happened to him.

A spokesman for the Sonora state Attorney General's Office says the Arizona men were shot in an area popular for its night spots.

Mexican prosecutors and the State Investigative Police say they are still interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence to determine the facts and the cause of the attack.
