Alamance County, NC -- A Burlington man is charged with shooting another man multiple times last weekend and resisting arrest when officers tried to arrest him.

43-year-old Francisco Gomez went to Alamance regional medical center Saturday, after being shot three times.

Gomez said the suspected shooter was 34-year-old Adan Espinoza.

Alamance County Sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant at Espinoza's house. They found him hiding under a bed. Police say Espinoza struggled with officers before he was taken into custody.

He's charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill, along with resisting, obstructing and delaying a government official.

Espinoza was placed under a $500,000 secured bond. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has also issued an immigration detainer for Espinoza.
