Committee rejects law to deport illegal immigrants after DUIs

The state assembly public safety committee yesterday voted five to two against "Sara's Law," AB 1882.
Sara's Law is aimed at deporting illegal immigrants who commit drunken driving offenses.

It was named after Sara Cole, the Los Gatos mother who was seriously injured last year when she was run down by Lucio Rodriguez, a repeat drunken driver.

Rodriguez, who is an illegal immigrant, is now serving a five-year sentence in state prison. The bill's sponsor, Assemblyman Martin Garrick of San Diego, says he will re-introduce Sara's Law next year.

This law should have passed. I would like to know the backgrounds of the people who voted against it.

We need to reject them next time around. We need constituents to know about this. I wonder how we could activate people in their areas?

Shouldnt Illegals be deported before they get into trouble anyway?

We cannot even get drunk drivers who are illegal invaders deported in this state!

It sure seems as if the ethno-centric, pro-illegal invaders have taken over the political process in this state.

There's the key, take away all federal money, Unwilling Americans should not have their tax money supporting sanctuary citizens without their permission....and we don't give it!!!
