Mohave County sheriff arrests 16 suspected illegal migrants

LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. -- A Mohave County sheriff's deputy arrested 16 suspected illegal immigrants Friday after he pulled over a suspicious van and discovered it packed with people, authorities said.


The van was traveling on Highway 95 in Lake Havasu City Friday afternoon when the deputy became suspicious of its license plate, which appeared fake, said sheriff's spokeswoman Trish Carter.

When the driver pulled over, the deputy found he had 16 people with him in the van, Carter said. Lake Havasu police helped transport the suspected immigrants to the sheriff's substation to be turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

The driver of the van, a U.S. citizen, had not been charged with a crime Friday evening.

Arizona has a human smuggling law in effect, why was it not applied to this driver?

I don't think I am only one here who thinks that smuggling illegal immigrants into the US should be turned into a foreign terrorism issue and that said smugglers should be detained at military bases as foreign combat soldiers attempting to attack our country. The only way the tide is really going to turn is if the armed forces do somehow get involved and we have a public declaration that Mexico is attempting to invade the US.

That is just my opinion, and I am sure that some globalist pile of crap is already calling me a "racist".

What the heck good is any law if these people aren't going to enforce them?
