Latino activist is bringing attention to Americans killed by illegal aliens

On Saturday, director of the Remembrance Project, Maria Espinoza, will be speaking at a rally on the steps of the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines. Espinoza travels the country throughout the year, bringing with her the Stolen Lives Quilt which is emblazoned with the images of those killed by illegal aliens. At her own expense, she highlights these often forgotten deaths, and tells of the mounting death toll due to this nation's undefended border with Mexico.

Maureen Maloney will also be speaking at the rally being sponsored by the Iowa Minutemen. Her son, Matthew Denise, was killed by an illegal alien, in Miliford, Mass.

On Aug. 20, 2011, Matthew was riding his motorcycle, when he was struck by a pickup truck driven by Nicolas Dutan-Guaman, 34, according to court documents.

The young man was dragged for a quarter of a mile, as horrified witnesses tried to stop Dutan-Guaman. "There were people all up and down the street,. . . [some] were pounding on the truck," Milford police officer Jeanne Van Patten-Steiger told reporters.

In May 2014, Dutan-Guaman was found guilty of motor vehicle homicide, manslaughter by motor vehicle, reckless endangerment of a child, leaving the scene of an accident which caused personal injury or death, failing to stop for police and driving without a license. He was sentenced to 12 to 14 years in prison.

The Ecuadorean national's 6-year-old son was actually in the truck at the time of the crash.

Shortly after her son was killed, Mary Maloney, tearfully addressed the Massachusetts state legislature's Senate Judiciary Committee in support of legislation which would make it tougher for illegal aliens to reside in that state.

Maloney told the lawmakers:

My son paid the ultimate price with his life because Massachusetts is a safe haven for illegal immigrants. The real question I ask is…Why would illegal immigrants not come to Massachusetts when we are so willing to provide them with jobs and free services they could not get in their native countries?

Of course, Matthew is but one of thousands of Americans who have been killed in recent years by those here illegally...

Mary Ann Mendoza will also be at Saturday's rally. Her son, Brandon, a police officer in Mesa, Ariz., was killed earlier this year by an illegal alien with previous felony convictions.

32-year-old Officer Mendoza, was a thirteen year veteran of the Mesa Police Department. He volunteered his time at the Boys and Girls Club, was an animal lover, and recently fostered a homeless pit bull he named Lucy Blu, reported CBS 5.

If you are anywhere near De Moines today, please stop by the West Mall at the state capitol and lend your support to these victims. The rally will be held between 1:30 and 5:30 p.m.

We are all very thankful for the hard work and sacrifice Maria Espinoza has put into raising awareness about the thousands of Americans killed each year by illegal aliens due to our government's failure to enforce our existing laws and Constitution.
