As millions across the nation watched history in the making yesterday, President Barack Obama was focused on getting down to business. The 44th President of the United States of America emphasized his commitment to addressing the considerable challenges we face at this point in history, declaring, "our time of standing pat, of protecting narrow interests and putting off unpleasant decisions - that time has surely passed." As President Obama begins his term, his commitment is clear:


"Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America — they will be met."

President Obama spoke also of a "new era of responsibility" and the satisfaction that comes from "giving our all to a difficult task". He is not backing down from the challenges ahead, and neither should we. Now, as our President and legislators move forward, it's imperative that we show them our support and participate in shaping our future. Take action today:
