Rocha: Chances of passing immigration reform and DREAM Act have improved

McALLEN, December 14 - The new assistant director for governmental affairs at the McAllen Hispanic Chamber of Commerce believes the chances of Congress passing comprehensive immigration reform and the DREAM Act has been greatly improved by Barack Obama’s presidential victory.


Land developer Israel Rocha spent eight years in Washington, D.C., working for U.S. Rep. Rubén Hinojosa, D-Mercedes. Rocha helped MHCC President and CEO Cynthia Sakulenzki unveil the Chamber’s legislative agenda at a news conference in McAllen this week.
