Lou’s Line-Item Veto: Polar Ice Breakers

Television
* Tonight we look into the stimulus bills proposed $88 million dollars for designing a new arctic icebreaker for the Coast Guard. This funding only covers the cost of designing a new icebreaker. Engineers say icebreakers take up to 10 years to build and cost up to $800 million dollars. Republicans argue that this is exactly the kind of project that shouldn’t be in the stimulus bill. We'll have all the details tonight in "Lou's Line-Item Veto."
