McCain Promises Amnesty For Illegal Immigrants

McCain Promises Amnesty For Illegal Immigrants
    Tue, 09/23/2008 - 11:15 — Judicial Watch Blog

After avoiding the heated immigration issue for months, John McCain assured a Pennsylvania crowd this week that as commander in chief he will enact comprehensive immigration reform and touted his credentials as an immigrant advocate alienated from his own party for supporting the failed amnesty bill.

The Republican presidential candidate finally went on the record with his plan to create a path to citizenship for the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants living in the United States. He also vowed to create a temporary worker program and admitted that his immigration advocacy almost cost him the party’s nomination.

The veteran Arizona senator said enacting comprehensive immigration reform will make the U.S. stronger and that immigrants have already enriched our nation. Because amnesty for illegal aliens is highly unpopular among most Republicans, McCain bragged about his record of reform and standing against his own party and his own president when necessary.

The stance of McCain’s running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, on this crucial issue is unknown. An interesting fact, however, is that Alaska has a statewide ordinance forbidding state agencies from enforcing federal immigration laws and three cities—Anchorage, Fairbanks and Sitka—have similar separate local measures to protect illegal aliens.

This makes me question McCain's mental abilities. What on earth is this man thinking?? At this rally, he started by explaining that he almost lost his party's nomination over this issue and then goes forward to make these ridiculous comments anyway!! He brings up the fact that he worked hard with Teddy Kennedy, every conservatives favorite Massachusetts senator. I think this buffoon has taken leave of his senses. maybe the long campaign has affected him.
Whatever the case, he has officially lost my and my family's vote. I have had enough. I will vote for Chuck baldwin and be very happy about it.

He got a bump with all the excitement over Palin so now he feels more confident to speak his true mind. He's pandering for votes, we know that. Problem is he's gambling on gaining more votes than he will loose by opening his mouth about this.

I really don't think this guy has a lot of smarts. If he gets 20% more of the latino vote and loses 2% of the conservative vote, what is the end result?? The guy can't do math.
Heck, in polls of latinos, immigration isn't even in the top 5 of their most important issues. Does this guy read??
His recent comments about firing a very capable, conservative SEC leader and about Andrew Cuomo shows that he is in the dark on financial matters. Cuomo? Are you kidding me? Check out what he has previously done in this latest financial mess! I'm thinking it's going down hill from here for him and it serves him right.
I can't vote for a traitor so if Obama wins, so be it. we survived Carter, we'll survive Obama.

Re: McCain Promises Amnesty For Illegal Immigrants

    Hi Zeezil,

Illegals* won't vote for McCain; they'll laugh at him.
They're commited to Obama bin-Laden. They're getting open borders from Obama and no more border patrol.

Well, he's just doing what the Council on Foreign Relations told him to do. He and Obama are both CFR puppets.

McCain is only saying what he's always voted. Remember though it takes congress to help open the borders. We need to remove pro amnesty votes from the congress and senate in the general election. Here in South Carolina we have a very conservative democrat running against Graham in our senate race. Bob Conley has taken a very strong stand against illegal immigration. This is one of his most important issues in his campaign.

    MarcB,
You're right. We need to elect good congressmen that will stick it in the presidents ear, same as they did to George "see you at the bill signing" Bush.
I've read about Conley in SC, I hear he's doing rather well and hopefully he can kick Graham out of there!
Here in Scranton & Wilkes-Barre Mayor Lou Barletta is running extremely well and ahead of illegal supporter Kanjorski in the 11th district of Penna

Hi MarcB, it's an honor to reply to your first post on ALIPAC.

Yes. Our votes will be heroic, but diluted, insofar as the bad guys are starting out with a very large handicap (illegals who will block vote straight Democrat).

Well, I don't know how to catch em - illegals will show up at the polls with their ill-gotten voter registration cards and cast their votes, then flip us off on the way out.

Illegals can affect the election in big cities and states with large numbers of electorial votes. Illegals will see to it that California goes straight Democrat.
