Make the feds pay for illegals

Make the feds pay for illegals
    Monday, September 10, 2007

Here's an idea for state and county governments whose jail budgets are being stretched by the rising tide of illegal alien criminals: Bill the federal government.

Is that any more outlandish than the amnesty legislation that imploded this year?

Contrary to the claims of some illegal-alien coddlers, who say illegals commit proportionately fewer crimes than native-born whites -- criminal aliens constitute a fourth of federal prison inmates, according to one estimate. But before they reach federal jurisdiction they land in county and state lockups.

This year more than 300,000 criminal aliens are expected to do time in state and local jails, according to the Department of Homeland Security. Then, still in violation of federal law, they go free because the government says it hasn't the resources to detain and deport them.

"How many in this country are arrested daily for serious crimes and have been convicted of serious crimes before, and nobody has bothered to check on their immigration status? It's obscene," says Sheriff Jim Pendergraph of Mecklenburg County, N.C.

Renewed attention has focused on the problem since the arrest of an illegal -- out on bond on a child-rape charge -- in the execution-style murders of three college students in Newark, N.J.

    But will anything change?

Aside from the cost to taxpayers, how else will the nation pay for its flagrant disregard?

The only issue that I have with this is that the democrats will raise taxes to pay for them.

I'm seeing it here. The feds or the states never take responsibility for their actions. They just keep passing the cost down to us. Personally....I would love to just cut the state and federal governments OFF from all income. Period. They called it "tough love" to parents.

Who else just gives themselves raises by a vote at the lunchroom table? Who else just demands a double pay raise for basics while the rest of us "tighten our belts"?

If they want to fund this.....then let them take a pay cut to do it. Lets have an "adopt an immigrant family" and have the expense come from their personal pocket. As my daddy used to say....it's always easier spending someone elses money. Forget all retirement funds for the senate and house and give it to the illegals. Have them give up their medical insurance to cover the illegals. Lets see how much they are willing to give up to keep their jobs. I did it...airlines have done it....lots of people have cut-down for the greater good. Not to mention we pay more when "globally" it increases. But they have yet to sacrifice a thing.
    400 buck for a hair cut......6oo for a make-up job? Please.

Spending state funds to go door to door to encourage parents to send their kids to school? Give them a car if they do? Sorry.....America is the land of OPPERTUNITIES.........not GUARENTEES.

Either way state or Federal we the taxpayer is going to pay, what I don't like about feds paying with our money is then I am paying for sanctuary cities that have let the problem get so big because they refuse to enforce the law, and since that state has not yelled loud enough to stop it then I over here in Idaho should not have to pay for New York, San Francisco, etc. Look at the problem LA has, it is going to cost billions to clean up if it is even possible, the gangs own it. Of course we know we will all pay to clean up those states, I think the politicians who ignored it should pay, sell their houses cash in their retirments ect.

Our crime problem was already out of control--i,e, an excessive burden to taxpayers--and now we are getting a swollen population of underclass failures headed for our prisons. How the heck are we going to continue to pay for these creeps? As soon as they are convicted they should be sent home---assuming we can prevent them from coming back.

Judging by the people I work with Americans are already a very depraved lot. So then we have to expose a whole herd of foreigners to that culture as well--on top of whatever bad habits and attitudes they may be bringing along with them. This is kind of like a virus that gets passed back and forth continually.

Who's to blame? You can blame the liberals for their anything goes attitude. But I think you can blame fundamentalist conservatives too, because as much as they talk about saving the lost they hardly ever get around to actually doing it. And they get into a lot of white collar crimes themselves. Sorry to be so negative; but that's what I actually see. Our crime rate, if you could believe the fundamentalists should be one third of what it is. At least when Clinton was in office the crime rate went way down---well, at least outside of the White House...
