JUNO BEACH -- The U.S. Border Patrol took into custody four migrants who came ashore illegally at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday just south of the Juno Beach pier.

A speedboat from the Bahamas dropped off four men -- three Jamaicans and one Guyanan -- who swam to the beach, said Art Bullock, the patrol's agent in charge of the West Palm Beach office.

The Jamaicans were arrested about three hours later along Federal Highway in Jupiter while walking to a shopping center, he said. The Guyanan migrant was picked up on Federal Highway in the Juno Beach area as he headed to a gas station to make a phone call.

After processing the men, the patrol learned that two Jamaicans had arrest warrants, one from Middletown, N.Y. , on an illegal firearm possession and the other from New York City for drug trafficking, Bullock said. The two men will be extradited to New York to face the charges.

The two other men will be taken to Krome Detention Center and will be brought up in front of immigration judges to determine if they will be deported or be allowed to stay here.

Why do they refer to them as migrants, and not illegal aliens?
